Basic Pedicure

Like the nails on your hand the nails on your feet too need to be taken care of. You can give yourself a pedicure at home. Given below are the steps to follow for a home pedicure.
1) Remove old nail polish completely. Using cotton balls leaves traces of cotton on your nails try using cotton bands instead. Soak the cotton band with acetone remover and remove the old polish. If the color is not coming off the press the cotton on to the nail and let it soak for a while.
2) It is always best to use high quality clippers to cut your toenails. Cut your nails straight across, leaving about 1/8" of length. Do not let your nail extend over the tip of your toe.
3) For a soft square shape, file the nail around the corners in one direction. Use emory boards and not metal files, as metal files rip nails. The smoother surface is for smoothing the nail edge while the coarser surface is for shortening and shaping nails.
4) Apply cuticle cream
5) Fill a big flat-bottom bowl or foot spa machine with warm water. Add Mineral salts, aromatherapy oils or pedicure shampoo and let your feet soak for to minutes. The more calloused your feet are the longer they need to stay soaked. Add about quarter cup of milk to the warm water. Lactic acid in the milk loosens dead skin.
6)Apply cuticle pusher and cutter to the base of each nail and rub in. Wait for a minute and then using an orange wood stick, slowly push the skin back where it meets the nail. 7)Use brush and shampoo in a circulate motion.
8) Use foot scrapper and loofah or a wet pumice stone and remove the dead on the balls and heels of your feet.
9)Use an ex-foliating body or foot scrub.
10)Use a massage cream for a relaxation one.
There are some tips of pedicure also that will explain more about them later.

Professional Manicure Tips

A manicure is a beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands. Manicures usually involve soaking the hands, applying hand lotion, filing and shaping the nails and applying nail polish. There are also special manicures that will explain later.
It is possible to give yourself a professional manicure or pedicure at home. You can even create your own professional manicure sets (including pedicure machines for those who want all the manicure and pedicure sets and tools). All you need is a few simple tools and knowledge of the procedure that professional manicurists use.

HOW TO DO A BASIC MANICURE

If you have ever wondered how to do a manicure, the following list should be helpful. It is a list of steps that professional manicurists take when giving people manicures. By following the same steps (and using your own professional manicure sets) you too can give yourself a professional manicure.
  1. Remove any old nail polish with nail polish remover.
  2. Trim the fingernails and shape them with a nail file. Metal nail files or emery boards can be used, but professionals usually use fine glass files. To file properly, start with the file at the outer edge of the nail and move towards the center. You should not file nails with a saw-like motion.
  3. Apply a cuticular cream or oil
  4. Soak the hands in Luke warm water that added shampoo,Mineral salt, Antiseptic lotion and H2O2 before, for 10 Min.
  5. The cuticles are pushed back with a cuticle pusher. Metal cuticle pushers can be used, but they may damage the fingernail. It is best to use orangewood cuticle pushers.
  6. use a brush with shampoo and apply in circulate motions.
  7. use scrub cream.
  8. Finish the manicure with a hand massage. You can use hand lotion or oils. Some manicurists will soak the hands in paraffin or wax before putting on hand lotion.(explain them later)
  9. Polish the fingernails with a polishing board (or nail buffer). A polishing board has a soft foam layer with a polishing surface.
  10. Apply nail polish. Most professionals apply at least one layer of clear nail polish. If you want to apply colored nail polish, use at least three layers. Start with a base coat. Then put on the color coat. Finish with a top coat. Clear nail polish can be used in place of a base coat and top coat.
