Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the practice of using the natural oils extracted from flowers, bark, stems, leaves, roots or other parts of a plant to enhance psychological and physical well-being. The inhaled aroma from these "essential" oils is widely believed to stimulate brain function. Essential oils can also be absorbed through the skin, where they travel through the bloodstream and can promote whole-body healing.A form of alternative medicine, aromatherapy is gaining momentum. It is used for a variety of applications, including pain relief, mood enhancement and increased cognitive function. There are a wide number of essential oils available, each with its own healing properties.  It traces back more than 6000 years, since ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Persians, Romans and probably Chinese used to burn scented flowers and herbs and enjoy aromatic bath, massage and skin care for curative and cosmetic purposes.

Essential oil:
Essential oils are non-oily aromatic liquids occurring naturally in various parts of plants, herbs, flowers, fruits, woods and spices. They contain the life force of the plant and have the ability to strengthen our immune system and to stimulate our body’s natural healing abilities.
Essential Oils are highly concentrated and should not be used directly on the skin or near the eyes. Using oils neat on the skin can create a rash, itching, an allergic reaction, and even severe pain. They must always be diluted in a suitable carrier oil for massage, or diluted with water for baths and vaporization.Essentials oil should be kept away from children and pets and stored in dark colour glass bottles away from sunlight and heat.

paraffin manicure

As explain before, manicure is a procedure that is performed as a beauty treatment for the hands and fingernails.A paraffin manicure is a type of manicure that includes a paraffin wax treatment to replenish and soften the skin. This specialty manicure involves more steps than a standard one, which can make it last longer and feel more relaxing. A paraffin manicure can be enjoyed at home or at a luxurious salon or spa.For paraffin manicure we need to perform all of steps of basic manicure firstly and after a relaxing hand and arm massage we should prepare warm paraffin to dip the hand.It will help to soften and smooth the recipient's hands.Spas often enhance the soothing qualities of the paraffin manicure by adding calming essential oil to the wax for an aromatherapy aspect to the treatment.During a paraffin manicure, the warm paraffin wax can be applied a number of ways but before applying the paraffin use a moisturizer.
The most common application is by dipping the hands several times into a basin of melted paraffin wax until they are well coated.
Other methods include applying the wax by wrapping pre-proportioned thin sheets around the hands or by brushing it directly onto the skin.
A plastic bag or glove is placed over the wax, and a hot, wet towel can be wrapped around the outside to enhance the moisture and heat. Alternatively, thermal gloves can be used for the same purpose. The hands are left to soak in the wax for as long as 30 minutes. When removed, the cooled wax does not stick to the skin but peels off easily, sometimes in one large piece, leaving the hands moist and soft.
A paraffin manicure is known for hydrating dry skin, opening the pores, and increasing circulation to the hands. It helps retain the skin’s natural moisture and is especially beneficial in the winter months, when hands tend to get dry and cracked. A paraffin treatment also can have therapeutic properties such as relieving sore muscles and joints, providing better range of motion in the hands and easing the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome, eczema, arthritis and other ailments.
Many people prefer at-home manicures, and adding a paraffin treatment can be easy and inexpensive. Many of the same moisturizing and smoothing benefits for that skin that are provided by a professional paraffin manicure can be obtained at home with a few basic supplies that are available at beauty supply stores or major discount retailers. A small basin, a block of paraffin wax and a pair of protective gloves are all that is needed to include this therapeutic treatment to a personal hand and nail regimen in the comfort of one's own home.
